FAELAN [break] WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER MEAN TO THEIR CIVILIZATION? [break] Faelan is the one they consult on the eve of battle, or the eve of the hunt. She brings luck to those who please her with sacrifice and watches over her small cult eagerly. She is most often associated with wolves and is often depicted by the mortals below holding a charging buck by it's antlers or in the form of a bipedal humanoid wolf like creature known as a Werewolf. She is a symbol of power and skill, brutality and the unpredictability of nature. [break][break] WHAT LEGENDS REVOLVE AROUND YOUR CHARACTER? [break] According to legend, she once aided in a battle against the invading Romans and single handedly overthrew the entire battalion leaving nothing but twisted, mangled skeletons in her wake. Another time when they dared invade the forests her devoted lived in, Faelan commanded the wolves of the region to tear apart the soldiers and consume the flesh from their bones not even sparring the horses. She had a bear eat the captain and bring her the heart so that she could burn it in defiance. The blood moon is her calling to all beasts, and the time she gathers the souls of her devoted close to her. It is also the time in which mortals seek her out to obtain her blessing. The reason the moon is red is because it is said to be the time she was born and the moon cried and turned red at the betrayal of her father to the She Wolf. It is also said that she walks among the trees and is at her most powerful. There are also some legends that link her to being the child of the moon itself, as the She Wolf who was her supposed mother was in direct contact with the moon. [break][break] HOW WAS YOUR CHARACTER BORN/CREATED? [break] She was created after an unlikely soldier was entranced by a she wolf who hid herself in the skin of a human. The She wolf had been saved by the soldier who tended her wounded paw, thus leading her to make a pact with the moon to grant her the ability to appear human to thank her savior. And when the moon accepted, the She Wolf found the soldier and immediately he fell in love with her raw beauty. They laid together many times before one night when the moon was full, her real form was revealed to him. Shocked and startled, he severed an ear from her skull and a hind paw before the She Wolf took to the forests. Under the silver light, she was healed by the Moon's tears and bore a child from the very soldier whom she had fallen for. [break][break] WHAT DOES YOUR GOD LOOK LIKE? [break] Messy and knotted blond hair with pale skin and striking grey blue eyes. She is slender, of medium height and often appears in leather chain mesh armor with furs around her shoulder. Her eyes are very reflective, and often give off an eerie glow in the night should light catch them. Her teeth are always slightly more pointed than normal, her nails more like claws but not quite. [break][break] WHAT DOES YOUR GOD ACT LIKE? [break] She is more often than not silent on matters. Faelan likes to let action speak louder than words, and often will ignore someone she thinks lower than herself in regards to other deities. She is headstrong, determined and relentless if you get on her bad side. In greeting she will often keep her distance, and does not trust others until they have proven their worth to her. She prefers solitude, and often becomes uncomfortable in crowded surroundings which is why she steers clear of the modern mortal's realm. Faelan is also a clever individual and loves challenges. While she is not arrogant about her intelligence, she will often try and outsmart other Gods and mortals alike. She can be seductive if a situation calls for it, and will often use this to the advantage when dealing with male humans if the promise of power alone is not enough to entice an individual. She is, however, above sleeping with them and thinks those who do are disgusting. Obviously she is in no support of demi-gods. Fae harbors a dislike for all Roman and or Grecian Gods alike. Her people were once devastated by the Roman Empire and therefore her power was in competition with those from the empire. Hearing her people's cries made her bitter towards them, and during this time she rallied fellow deities to go against them with little to no avail. These Gods will likely be treated badly by her, ignored even and maybe even attacked should it be provoked. [break][break] WHAT ARE THEIR PRIMARY DUTIES TO THEIR PEOPLE? [break] She is the giver of luck to hunters and often will be the one to decide the outcome of the hunt. Those who hunt for her are almost always blessed, and those who do not are often eaten by the animals she protects. In war, she is the one to give the upper hand to those who support her meaning she may or may not show up on the battlefield herself with the souls she has claimed at her back. Sometimes she just sends her little battalions in her stead. To those who are devout enough, Faelan will grant permission to drink from her own divine blood thus giving them the ability to take on the strength of a wolf. Those who are granted such power are hers to claim forever, and will serve her even in death. Only a few have been granted such a gift as it is difficult to handle; many fall to the madness of the beast inside them. [break][break] WHAT POWERS DOES YOUR CHARACTER POSSESS? [break] She is the first lycan, naturally she has the ability to go between her mortal form and her savage form. She can command predatory animals at will, and speak with wildlife.
