GREEK - FIRE/FORGE - GEMMA - LV1

Post by HEPHAESTUS on Dec 4, 2014 12:43:54 GMT -8
Hephaestus had always prided himself on being a patient, forgiving man, but there were just some things that couldn't be forgiven. Bad parenting was one, and his mother had paid for it. Adultery was another, and Heph was still deciding if he would bother punishing Aphrodite for this. In truth, he was more inclined to ignore her for the rest of eternity; the wound opened by her betrayal wasn't one that was going to heal any time soon, and he doubted revenge and anger would serve him well in dealing with it. He was at least smart enough to know that.
Still though, it hurt. His face had had a frown permanently etched onto it, and considering he looked mildly intimidating even when pleased this did nothing to make him at all more approachable. When you were a 6'10" behemoth of a man with a natural 'grumpy' look about you, anything more and you became downright unapproachable. At least here in the Underworld, there were few but the dead themselves to give him any grief. Every once in a while he passed a spectral green form wandering aimlessly through the burning wasteland. Their faces were never visible to him, and he could not interact with them in any way that he had discovered, but his strolls through Hades' realm had become downright pleasant considering the rest of his life. It was almost peaceful there, if the burning pits of hell itself could be considered that.
In one hand he carried a massive black iron bucket that held nothing, though he soon intended to draw the largest red coal he could from the pits of the fires when he reached them. He had work to do, and the forge was too cool to do it. Only the fires of hell could re-light it.
