SO I SNARLED AT THIS IRRESPONSIBLE WORLD The King of the Sea could hear the crashing of the waves in the physical realm through the sphere clutched in his talons, and he rolled it from side to side, slowly.
The entrance of the Between, for him, was a world that was consistently barely wet. It was an underwhelming kind of wet too, were the water level would meet his human form's ankles--the kind of wet that keep his belly sleek and shiny and dried out his streak of fur. It wasn't terrible, nay, but it was tiresome, and for once he'd like to fly among the stars rather than the tide-beaten rocks. The sky above shed no light, as if he sat at the bottom of an oceanic trench.
Splish-splish.
The tides that hit the walls of the rocks in the physical world leaked through the cracks and into the Between, making little pattering sounds as they hit the watery ground.
Splish-splish.
He was feeling a bit peckish. Maybe a bowl of fruity pebbles. Or a cow or two. Maybe three, if he was going to stay a little while....
Splish-splish.
...
Splish-splash-splish splip!
Ryujin's eyes snapped around at the sound of footsteps treading through the water. The dragon turned, his body coiling like a snake's.
The smaller figure seemed as startled as he, and stopped with a sudden splish! In the dim lighting, he couldn't make out the other's figures, but he didn't need to...
His fur and whiskers stood on end and his scales clattered against themselves, like bricks during an earthquake, as he rumbled. Step closer, his disembodied voice commanded, tainted by the hint of a threat. because i can't affirm myself at all
