MORPHEUS [break] WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER MEAN TO THEIR CIVILIZATION? [break] Morpheus is responsible for shaping the dreams of humans, being able to appear in said dreams at will and do whatever he wants with them, supposedly. He can be akin to a divine messenger of the gods as he can send such news to mortals in the form of visions, which can predict the future sometimes or show upcoming events. He must be rather busy, then, for even up to now, with the population of the earth already at 7 billion, people continue to dream. He has seen rather odd ones, he has to admit, and he's not quite sure how they contort that way. [break][break] WHAT LEGENDS REVOLVE AROUND YOUR CHARACTER? [break] Well, as the God of Dreams, perhaps some mortals would think that Morpheus had visited them in their dreams since he could take any form that he wanted. He could imitate any human, after all, and was quite good at it too. They say that his wings are used to carry his wingless father around the dream world in which they live in. [break][break] HOW WAS YOUR CHARACTER BORN/CREATED? [break] Morpheus's father and mother are Hypnos and Pasithea respectively. He has many siblings, but the ones that are most noted are Phobetor and Phantasus, who also create dreams. Unlike him, though, Phobetor creates what mortals call nightmares, and Phantasus creates 'fake' dreams. [break][break] WHAT DOES YOUR GOD LOOK LIKE? [break] Morpheus has the ability to change into any form he so desires, but recently he has taken a liking to a form that appears to be a young man in his twenties. Short, dark brown hair with matching dark brown eyes along with a playful smirk plastered on his face - that's him. His clothes change from time to time, but are usually very casual in nature. As being rather familiar with the current times, he can keep up with the fashion trends of mortals and has grown rather amused by it too. Just expect a comfortable looking shirt, pants, and rubber shoes. He can keep himself tidy but doesn't obsess about it. [break][break] WHAT DOES YOUR GOD ACT LIKE? [break] Morpheus has become more lax over the years with mortals twisting his given dreams more often than not, so lately he hasn't been keeping a sharp eye on his siblings who can wreak havoc amongst mortal minds with their illusionary dreams and nightmares. During times when he isn't seriously overseeing the world of dreams, he jumps from one slumbering mind to another, messing with it according to his mood. Because of this, he tends to act more like the humans of today - that's where his talent lies in, after all. He can be kind at times, though he's often more of mischievous than anything. The influence of the younger side of the human race has made him more childish, making him just want to have fun. There are times, though, when he does become solemn, and that's usually when it's needed the most. [break][break] WHAT ARE THEIR PRIMARY DUTIES TO THEIR PEOPLE? [break] His duties lie with overseeing the human race's dreams, making sure that they don't go totally out of whack or something. Unfortunately, his personality as of late has prevented him from performing at his optimum, and so his brothers have more freedom to make people go insane with nightmares and whatnot. [break][break] WHAT POWERS DOES YOUR CHARACTER POSSESS? [break] Morpheus can form and shape dreams at his will. He can also make mortals sleep, but it probably doesn't affect gods. He can jump farther than the average human, almost as if he's flying, and he uses this ability to travel from one building to another when he wants to invade some dreams. If he really needs to fly, he can sprout feathery wings from his back and can soar at great speeds, though his stamina may prevent him from doing it for an extended period of time because he doesn't fly that much anymore. He can also send any image to someone else's mind, like a vision. He may have abused this power a lot when messing with lovesick mortals. [break][break] HAVE YOU READ ALL THE SITE RULES?
