Loki [break] WHAT DOES YOUR CHARACTER MEAN TO THEIR CIVILIZATION? [break] He is the trickster, sort of a 'Devil' like character in the Norse Pantheon. He helps and hurts all the same, and often will toil in the affairs of mortals for his own sick pleasure. He is a symbol of misfortune. [break][break] WHAT LEGENDS REVOLVE AROUND YOUR CHARACTER? [break] A LOT. One of the main ones is that he causes Ragnarok to begin ( in Norse mythology ) and in other universes such as Marvel he is notorious for standing in the way of his brother, and adoptive father. He even tricked a woman into marrying him after slaying her real fiance and posing as him. In mythology, Loki is often depicted as a trickster but sometimes has been written to aid the other Gods at times. He gave birth to Odin's eight legged horse, fathered the deities Hel, Fenrir the wolf and Jörmungandr the world serpent. Through his wife Sigyn (Goddess of Fidelity) he fathered Njorvi who later was slain and his entrails used to bind Loki after he killed the God Baldr. [break][break] HOW WAS YOUR CHARACTER BORN/CREATED? [break] Loki is both God and Jotun ( a race of beings denied access to Asgard long ago ) and was born to the Jotun Laufey ( his mother ) and Fárbauti ( his father ). Jotun are often in competition with those of Asgard because of the fact stated previously. Abandoned by his parents as a baby due to his mother's inability to care for him he was taken in by the Asgardian God King Odin, and raised within the confines of the place his people were not allowed to tread. [break][break] WHAT DOES YOUR GOD LOOK LIKE? [break] Most of the time, he appears to be a young male with short dark brown/black hair and brown eyes. His skin is pristine and smooth with a natural creme color to it. His real form however is a blue skinned Jotun, with raised hereditary markings that give off his parentage. When angered or upset or tapping into his abilities his eyes will often glow green if he is in his normal form. When jotun his eyes become red. As a female he has light blond hair and pale blue eyes with a softer complexion. [break][break] WHAT DOES YOUR GOD ACT LIKE? [break] He is a rather hard person to understand. In one moment he may be wanting to help for his own selfish reasons, and the next he may want to erase you from existence completely. His mood seems to change like the tides. Generally, Loki is a rather grandiose individual. He is sly,devious and troublesome by nature and often enjoys other people's misery. He likes to go over the top in things, and yet can remain secretive in others; a walking contradiction. [break][break] WHAT ARE THEIR PRIMARY DUTIES TO THEIR PEOPLE?
